The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can use the app if you are aged 13 or over. You must be registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man. You can also log in through the NHS website on a computer to use NHS App services. Access NHS services ---------------------- Use the NHS App to access your NHS services, anytime and anywhere. You can request repeat prescriptions, use 111 online, find nearby NHS services and more. Depending on your GP surgery, you may also be able to book appointments and contact your surgery about a health problem. Manage your health -------------------- The NHS App gives you a convenient way to view your health information, including your test results. You can manage your upcoming appointments and prescription requests. You can also make choices about your health, like your organ donation decision. Receive messages ------------------- You can get important messages from your GP surgery and other NHS services through the app. Turning on notifications can alert you to new messages. Manage services for other people --------------------------------- You can switch profiles to access services for other people in the NHS App, such as a child or family member. Your GP surgery needs to give you access and you must both share the same surgery. Log in securely --------------- The NHS App will guide you through setting up an NHS login if you do not have one already. You will be asked to prove who you are. The app will then securely connect to information from your NHS services. If your Android device supports fingerprint, face or iris recognition, you can use it to log in, every time you use the app.

My biggest issue is being bombarded by this app at the weekend! The ridiculous amount of reminders for each appointment is annoying, but understandable, given how many patients fail to attend. BUT, unless I have an appointment on the Monday, there is no need to send reminders at the weekend. I am disabled and have ongoing health issues so have a lot of appts - I feel so harassed by this app that I'm thinking of turning off notifications, and I'm sure I can't be alone in that.

The changes have made the app lose all the information that was in the previous version and I can no longer access my records. I also can't see my appointments. It's gone from being just about ok to being utterly useless. Thanks for your response but what you say is not accurate and is patronising. I understand how to use the app, it just no longer has the information I need.

constantly lags when trying to log in when I have good Internet connection . GPS don't always up load results on tests like they should do which is supposed to be part of the app plus when you try and get an appointment you fill in a questionnaire which is sometimes non sensicle because you may have more than one symptom In different areas of your body .

An absolute nightmare of an app. We are in our late 80's and early 90's. One of us uses the app on an iPad and the other on a Samsung tablet. We only have one mobile so we use the same mobile number for login verification on both of our accounts. Sometimes it will let whichever one of us log in, but mostly it just says there is already an account (which of course there is) and wants to delete it, making it impossible to log in.

To log in, I need to receive a text with a code. But when I switch from the app to the messaging service to read the code, the app automatically reverts back to the login screen, where I have to re-enter my ID and password (not the code that I've received). It is consequently impossible to use the app - and when I try on a computer instead of a phone, I find I've been locked out due to too many attempts. Useless! [Edit] I contacted them to point out the bug - workaround is 'drag screen down'
