About this app
The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors. You can check your glucose levels by scanning the sensor with your phone. Now, FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor users can get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and receive alerts when your glucose levels are low or high. [1][2] You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to: * View your current glucose readings, trend arrow, and glucose history; * Receive low and high glucose alerts from FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors [2] * View reports, including your glucose levels over time and daily trends; * Share your data with your healthcare provider and family members if you give permission. [3] SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY Compatibility may vary by phone and operating system. For more information on compatible phones, visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com. USING THE APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR Alerts can be triggered on either the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or the user's phone (not both). To receive alerts on the phone, the sensor must be triggered using the app. To receive alerts on the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, the sensor must be triggered using the reader. Once the sensor is triggered using the reader, the sensor can also be scanned using the phone. Please note that the app and reader do not share data with each other. To have complete information on a given device, you must scan your sensor with that device every 8 hours. Otherwise, reports will not include all of the user's data. Data from all of the user's devices can be uploaded and viewed using the LibreView.com portal. APPLICATION INFORMATION The FreeStyle LibreLink app is intended for use with a sensor to measure glucose levels in people with diabetes. For more information about using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, refer to the User Guide, which is available in the app. If you need a paper copy of the User Guide, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Service. Consult your healthcare professional to confirm that the product is appropriate for you and if you have any questions about using the product to make treatment decisions. For more information, visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com. [1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the app itself does not provide this. [2] The alerts you receive do not include glucose readings, so you must scan your sensor to check your glucose levels. [3] Use of the FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp applications requires registration in the LibreView system. The sensor housing, FreeStyle, Libre, and related brand marks are marks of Abbott. Not intuitive. Frustrating—there’s no continuous timeline or swipe gesture to change days. Tiny icons=barrier for users with diabetes-related vision issues. Life isn't 24h chunks, app forces this view. App "corrects" history—I wake up to a low glucose alert, but after a manual scan, the data disappears as the app decides it was an error. Just add raw measurement lines alongside your interpretation and consider adding a "Basic" vs "Advanced" mode. Users need reliability and better accessibility

App is helpful but has a flaw that drives me crazy - loading Logbook becomes slower and slower day by day. On fresh install it's fine. With 3 months of data in local database, loading Logbook takes about 1.5 min, with 6 months of data it's over 3 min (Motorola Edge 50 Neo). I use Logbook to log my insulin doses and meals that I forgot to add from dashboard at a given time. To add two entries I have to wait 3 min to logbook load, then after saving single entry there is another 3 mins of waiting.

Device is amazing and saving you a lot of nerves and helps out! App lately is working with troubles though (e.g. Home feature is barely downloading, so that is complicated for doctor to get insights; connection with free libre 2 is getting lost more often), yet, for almost a month no updates offered.. Additionally, sort of "calibrating" of freshly started new item Free libre is getting longer than 2-3 months ago) now even on a third day of usage showing crazy jumps from 150 to 50 and back. sad

I have been using app for a few months and I haven't encountered any problems. Everything is very intuitive. The only thing this app needs (not sure if technically possible with a sensor) is a configurable time (eg. 30 minutes by default), after which dismissed alarm is fired again if sugar is still too low/high. For example, sugar gets high at night, You take insulin and expect it to go to normal level after some time, but if it is still high, no alarm is fired again until scan in the morning

Temporary silence for alerts is a must have. It's a critical issue and I hope developers will take a look at it. e.g. silence high glucose alert for 30 minutes, as you take insulin and expect glucose level to get back to normal. But if the level hasn't been changed, alert again.
