For an app that can control my truck, its basic function works. Thats a problem for a supposed "premium brand" imo. Most other brands have faster and better working apps, integration with Samsung/Apple/Google Wallet, and have home widgets (not just IOS) for baisc controls without opening the app. Pages like the store and many other places just launches a browser inside the app. A child could've vibecode a better app imo. It's clear that General Motors is neglecting the Andriod ecosystem.

App is too slow. New button style sucks. Bring back the old one. Speed up app. Car takes too long to respond to commands. Remote features are cool. Only worth it if they are running a sale on the service fees! Should add a in car temperature reading. Wish it would run the car more than 10 min. Wish it could restart more than two times after the 10 min timer is up.

App has been showing my fuel at 43% for the last month or so (despite knowing it's full). Hate the fact it won't remote start more than twice or that it can take upwards to 2 minutes to respond and start. I like that you changed it from having to hold the start to a more simple 1 tap. Sometimes the app lies to you and says the vehicle started and yet it is off when you walk out 3-5 min later.

First time GMC owner and luckily the truck is awesome cause the app isn't worth using. You're better off using the key fob instead. Takes a long time to connect to the truck and keeps saying to go through the trusted device process although I do it multiple times per day. I have paid to charge several times but the history says "no history yet." Coming from a Tesla where the app operates everything on the vehicle and provides all the info you need, this app has a long way to go.

Update 5/31/26 - it's working again as it should. But when happens, it could be at a moment you need it most. Well, they bricked the app again. Its been working well for the past 4 years and now, nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it at least a dozen times. I've cleared the cache and other files each time. I'm about done with GMC and Onstar.
