Local Now: News, Movies & TV

The app is terrible and very difficult to use. It keeps locking up when I try to navigate through the channels. And when I find something to watch the ads play with no sound and the show is unable to start. I just tried this app on the top end device and the same problem still occurred... 2 commercials without sound and the show never starts. Also it doesn't recognize that I've already registered myself with the app and every time I try to watch something it wants to know if I want to register.

Update 3/8/21 - Revisited the app... better, but tries to be all things to all people, but misses the mark. Too weather-centric. "Local" news isn't local, more like regional. The TV & Movies section is filled with a lot of very ordinary and in some cases, not terribly interesting media. Eliminate that, and provide more localized news and sports, and you've got a winner. Until then, it's an app in progress, and thus earns three stars (up from one)... but it's headed in the right direction.

This app is terrible. All it does is show ads. I want to watch my local channels and I get other cities. I click on a certain movie ad it takes forever to display and when I click to start an episode, it starts commercial. I never could get the movie to start. The spinning circle take soooo long to get to where it's going. I liked the discontinued version of Local much better.

The app is terrible. It crashes repeatedly on startup sometimes like 5 times in a row before finally starting. Sometimes it is necessary to force stop it and open it a couple of times before it finally starts working. And like 2 weeks after installing it my local station was dropped from the channel lineup so now it's basically useless except for the weather blurb it opens into which you can get anywhere. All the free channels it is larded down with are available everywhere. Don't bother with it
