I like this EV charging system, but after a recent experience I'm looking (and using other options). I believe someone unplugged my car during a charging session while I was in a shopping center but didn't realize it until 20 minutes had past. By the time I got to the car I had a 29 minute idle fee after only 6 minutes of charging. I explained this to their customer service and was told they would investigate. Afterwards, they still charged me, so I'm going to take a break from them.

Over half of the functions in the app say "Something unexpected happened. Check your internet connection." Nope, connection is just fine for every other app. Gaslighting by EA for something broken in their app. Couldn't even charge through the app. Had to start the charging on the station and NFC tap the phone for Members to get it to register our account and thus use our free credits.

Nearly every time I try to charge, something is ALWAYS broken requiring a phone call to support. Yesterday, the app refused to use the same credit card that has been linked with my account for years. I called customer support and they blamed my bank. I called my bank and they said there's nothing wrong with my card, but that EA thinks I have an invalid expiration date. I haven't changed ANYTHING in my EA account, and somehow randomly, my CC info is bad? I checked, the info in the app is CORRECT.

Their app cancelled my charge twice causing me to have to return from the store 10 min walk away. After the first one, I walked back and talked to an agent who gave me 100% guarantee it wouldn't happen again. It happened again, but this time with a cart half full in the store and the agent told me I had to go back and unplug or be charged idle fees. I went back after shopping and they refused to give me a refund of the idle fees of $8. I never had this issue with paying with a card.

The NFC (near field communications) function in the app almost never works with the charging equipment on site. Thank goodness the app has a cellular workaround for that, or I could never get any power to charge my car. Also, it's nice to see an app these days that isn't always trying to bait you with some reason to watch an ad or do a micro transaction.
