I used to use this app frequently but not so much anymore ever since the filters are no longer clearly marked as premium. You only know if something is premium when you apply and the star is next to the save button, which you can miss if you're not looking every time you apply a setting. it's obviously an upsell tactic and feels tacky. edit: 3 stars down to 1. added even more previously free filters to premium. going elsewhere. ✌🏻

imagine paying $5 just to download a photo you added some text to.... you and me both will have to become there's absolutely no way I'm PAYING to download the simplest alteration to an image after fighting for hours just to place basic text onto an image because the interface is so unintuitive and clunky that it barely functions, much less crashing half the time as well. this used to be a good image editing app, but what's left of the scraps of that is blocked behind a paywall now.

I was very interested in using this app, but I have zero interest in paying more for a phone app than I do for a desktop editor. If I am not paying $250 ($5 a week x 52 weeks ) a year for lightroom, I am surely not paying that for a cell phone editor. Your pricing is absurd. Oh yeah, make the "ask" at the end my trial not right before I even try it. Come on guys... cell phone app.

I used to love Prequel, it was my favorite by far. The quality and variety of filters and editing features are still great, but I am giving it one star because I am so disappointed to come back to it now and find that not only are so many more filters behind the paywall, but they removed the icon that shows you what's premium! A scuzzy tactic. I totally understand wanting to charge for some of them in this day and age, but at least give us the decency of telling us what is/isn't available.

This app is super greedy. It shoves fake discounts on your face, tries to get you to subscribe to their subscription over and over and over, and wouldn't even let me save my picture without subscribing. I'm pretty sure I wasn't using any premium filters or anything, and if I was, I saw no indicator that the filters were paid only. The filters and editing options are great, yes, but I'm not a piggy bank. It's genuinely insulting to have ads shoved in my face before you even get to try the app.
