The app has gotten worse over the last year or so. Recently I tried to remotely access my R7000 router to reboot it, but it looks like it's no longer an option. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now it keeps saying something went wrong with logging in. Now I can't use the app at all. I reset my password, just in case. Newp...not the issue. Firmware is up to date. If remote access is a necessity, I suggest looking at other manufacturers. Logging in remotely via web browser is gone too...

The jury is still partly out on the Nighthawk app. But my initial review isn't good. I just finished setting up a mesh system, and the app has been buggy and fiddly as hell. Several times it told me the router wasn't compatible with the app. If you take more than 60 seconds on a task, a contact support pop-up appears. God forbid you have any other apps open or attempt to switch between them. At the moment, I hope I don't have to use this app often.

This application is so bad it makes me want to vomit. The UI sucks, never works, always gets things wrong, can never connect. Like right now, at this very moment, I am using a WiFi extender. I had to factory reset it yesterday because no matter how many times I reset my modem, my router, and the actual Netgear WiFi extender, bad connection.------ Lord this review box does not have enough of a character limit for me describe how much I loathe having to use it. 5 months and no bug fix for my issue

I would give it 5 Stars but it was difficult to Initially Setup. After that I am Impressed! Its SO Much faster than my 10 year old Netgear! With Spectrum all Downloaded Movies and Shows play without buffering and smart devices instantly connect. Just hated the switch from old to new router devices. I must admit the app is Cool didnt have that before.

App did not work for first launch/setup of RS700S router. Luckily if you squint and look at the bottom of the screen on any wired computer connected to the router you see a tiny barely visible link to configure the router from a webpage which works perfectly. This is a solution without a problem, almost nobody buying a 10Gb router will not have at least one wired device connected. This app does allow decent control of the router but the UI leaves a lot to be desired.
