I'm still getting used to it after having Samsung Messages for years but I'm pleasantly surprised at how similar the experience is between the two. Yes, you do deal with ads, but it doesn't interfere while using the app but if you wanna get rid of it entirely, its $11 to be ad free for a year or $1 a month. So glad I found this because there was no way I was switching to Google Messages next month.

I need something new. I can't react using emoji, can't send a video longer than 3 seconds (too large), I have an Android and sometimes I can't read some text sent from an IPhone, keep getting errors on a simple text that it can't send, when it sends a picture it takes longer than usual, sometimes when I send a text the other person never receives it, it doubles text using my number as a recipient and then gives me an error. I do like the integrated map feature. But this app needs to improve

Downloaded this because Samsung messages is being discontinued. I tried 2 other mesaging apps that were full of ads. So far, haven't seen any ads on this app. looks like it has everything I'll need: emoji, gifs, picture attachments, individual notification settings. My reason for no 5 stars is Random pop-up questions and the dark mode isn't *completely* dark. Would recommend over the other trash available right now.

It's May 2026 and the app recently updated. Unfortunately, I lost access to my gif files I would access while sending a text message. In addition, I lost access to parts of my keyboard to edit the text message. As a text app on an android phone it works relatively well. It's these other things that piss me off. The rating should be lower.

Like many, I had to change text apps as Message+ ended. With all change comes new understanding of the process. It didn't take long to figure this system out, and I like it! It's simple and has plenty of features. There is one little ad, at the top of your screen that is very unintrusive, so don't believe the exaggerated claims of ads everywhere. Nothing is free, so just stop with that stuff. Also, if you'd like you can pay a very small fee to not see the one little ad. This is a great app!
