It's good I like the privacy feature. It's a bit slow but I think that is from the tracker check. My main gripe is that it defaults to yelp when searching for businesses. I don't like yelp at all so it's annoying. Also sometimes after writing in the search box and hitting enter it just closes to home screen. Over all good Browser with more accurate ai search.

I love DuckDuckGo! I'm referring to both the search engine and the browser in this case. Privacy has become a huge concern of mine lately, and I think that we need more search engines that don't track us based on our activities. I do realize that DDG has also jumped on the AI bandwagon, but theirs seems less intrusive than some of the others, at the very least, i.e., according to their privacy policy, it doesn't collect personal data from you either.

Not exactly five-star perfect, but it is in all the ways that matter to me. The privacy, of course, is the big thing. But as big a deal for me is that you can watch videos - even long documentaries, concerts, even 8-hour sleep mediations, etc. - straight through, without interruption by the obnoxious ads. If that were the only feature it had I would use it just for that.

It's a good secure phone app, but I can't use it as my default browser. Too many times I'm trying to login to a new app that I've just downloaded, so it sends me a code to my email, but when I come back from my email, I no longer see the place to enter the code. It's as if the browser can't preserve context when I come back to it. So that prevents it from being useful as my phone's default browser. Also, search features like "site:website.tld" fail when searching within one website.

The least intrusive of all mobile browsers I've used... Which given is a very low bar, but I like the browser nonetheless. Built in ad block, which is basically necessary for the modern internet where websites have upwards of 7 ads on screen at once. Search engine actually is pretty good. I've used [certain other privacy browser] and it literally put an immitation site before the real once. Never had that issue with DDG. & lets you turn off AI summaries if you want a classic browsing experience
