Transdev Go

I tried giving myself more time with this app to see how it panned out. I still don't like it. It feels more convoluted to track your bus than before. I saw on the old app my usual bus was canceled, while the new app doesn't mention it being canceled at all. With the old one I can easily see all the bus arrival times, what's canceled, then go straight to the map to see where it is on the route. With this app, I need to back out of the bus times and go to a different section to see the map.

I mean it's poorly designed, the UI is awful, it fails to reach the server half the time, refreshing the app doesn't help, it doesn't load favoured services, it looks like it's been designed by a 5 year old. Furthermore the all will throw errors at the user such as "Object reference not set to an instance of an object", someone on the dev team must have forgotten to null-check and instead of failing silently it alerts the user in an ugly orange UI notification.

When this app was first updated, I, along with several others thought it was dreadful. However, after persevering, I find it does everything I need. I can add all my favourite stops and all my favourite services. I can track where my bus is and how long it will be before it arrives. We travel frequently on TransDev services for leisure purposes and I have successfully added all the services we use to my favourites. I am slowly getting used to this app and getting to like it.

The most recent change seems to have taken away the ability to save, and instantly view buses from, your favourite stops. No-one asked for them to scrap the old app. And somehow, they're managing to make the poor replacement even worse. Edited to add: I did find that I could add my favourite stops back. They'd just chosen to remove all the ones I'd already added.

The latest version seems to be an improvement, I like the ability to be able to get a timetable from my favourites now, and the layout seems much better. The things that let this app down though are the 'Track my Bus' option which has some terrible lag when you zoom in the map. But the thing that stands out the most as a big oversight, is that you can't go back using the back button on your phone, instead it takes you completely out of the app. This is standard thing you expect any app to have.
